Georgia gets tougher on gambling

The law toughening rules regulating online casinos comes into effect in Georgia today.
Report's Georgian bureau informs that the law restricts the access to gambling for around one million citizens.
According to the new rules, gambling is prohibited for those below 25 years of age, public servants, those getting social benefits, those blacklisted under a court decision, or a family's demand.
In addition, advertising of the gaming business on television, outdoor advertising, advertising on Georgian websites is also prohibited. Advertising will be allowed only based on a sponsorship agreement at sports venues and airports.
