Leakage from all tanks at a gas station in the city of Abovyan near Yerevan has been stopped, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Report informs referring to Armenian media.
It is reported that three combat crews of the rescue service are on duty at the scene.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, the condition of the two victims of the explosion is assessed as extremely serious. Both are in the intensive care unit.
“The remaining four patients are showing positive dynamics. Their condition is assessed as moderate, they continue to receive appropriate treatment,” reads the message.
According to the latest data, the number of victims was seven people.
The media report that this station was involved in a bankruptcy case and was closed for violations with cash receipts and underfilling of fuel.
The technical and fire safety inspection revealed back in February that the station was being operated without registration in the register of hazardous production facilities.
