Gas explosion hits residential building in Russia

A gas explosion that occured on the eighth floor of a nine-story apartment building in the Russian city of Khimki has killed two people, including a child, and injured three others.
Report informs, citing TASS, an operative service dispatched to the scene, rescued a 12-year-old boy from the rubble. The fire that broke out after the explosion was extinguished.
A natural gas leak caused the accident.
