The Georgian authorities are ready to continue their efforts to ensure peace, stability and economic development in the region, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said in a statement on social networks, Report informs.
“I am glad that I had the opportunity to receive the prime ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan within the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum so that we could talk together about the future of the South Caucasus, large-scale regional projects, the implementation of which is in the common interests of all of us. Within the framework of peace initiatives, voiced by me from the UN rostrum, we are ready to continue our efforts in this direction of ensuring peace, stability and economic development in the region for the benefit of our countries,” wrote Irakli Garibashvili.
At the end of 2021 Garibashvili launched the “Peaceful Neighborhood Initiative.” The prime minister proposed to Azerbaijan and Armenia the creation of a regional platform for informal dialogue between the parties.
