Former deputy premier may become Ukraine's next defense minister

A new candidate has been nominated for the post of Ukrainian defense minister.

According to the Report's Eastern Europe bureau, the Security and Defense Committee of the country's parliament has nominated Oleksiy Reznikov, who was dismissed from the post of deputy prime minister today. Parliament will discuss the proposal tomorrow.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Andriy Taran resigned yesterday.
