"Due to the war in Ukraine, food security in Moldova is deteriorating," Moldovan President Maia Sandu said in her interview with Prime Tv, Report informs.
The head of state cited high food prices as an example.
Sandu noted that prices in the world market had risen sharply due to the inability of Ukraine, one of the world's largest grain suppliers, to export.
"Rising grain prices automatically affect the prices of other food products. We do our best to help Ukraine by railway and through the port of Giurgiulești," she stressed.
