FM: Türkiye to temporarily move its embassy from Khartoum to Port Sudan

The Turkish authorities have accepted the proposal of the Sudanese representatives to move the embassy from Khartoum to Port Sudan due to ongoing clashes in Sudan, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in an interview with NTV, Report informs.

“The Sudanese side offered us to move the embassy from Khartoum to Port Sudan, they will provide us with a site there. There are violent clashes and street fighting in the area where our embassy is located. We decided to temporarily move the diplomatic mission to Port Sudan,” he said.

Earlier it was reported that the Rapid Support Forces of Sudan didn’t agree to a seven-day truce with the army of Sudan.

According to the latest data, the number of civilians killed in the clashes has increased to 447. This is while 2,255 people were injured.
