FM: Georgia ready to contribute to strengthening peace between Azerbaijan, Armenia

Georgian Foreign Minister, Maka Bochorishvili, praised the planned peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia and noted that Georgia is ready to actively participate in this process, Report informs.

Bochorishvili shared these insights at a briefing held in Tbilisi with the participation of OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu.

The minister highlighted that Georgia is committed to making its contribution to help maintain peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.

She also stated that the trilateral meeting held last week in Tbilisi, Georgia, between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia will open new opportunities for cooperation and development in the region.

"Georgia has a serious interest in promoting peace and stability in the South Caucasus. I hope that the meeting held this week will lead to beneficial results for the region. Georgia attaches great importance to the development of regional cooperation, especially to the implementation of projects that further strengthen our role and support economic development," Bochorishvili stated.

She added that cooperation with the OSCE is very important for regional development and in this regard, she highly appreciated Georgia's activities within the OSCE framework.

"We are ready to work closely with all partners to develop cooperation in the region and create more opportunities," Bochorishvili stressed.
