Int'l Luge Federation extends sanctions against Russian athletes

The Congress of the International Luge Federation (FIL) has extended the sanctions against athletes from Russia, Report informs via TASS.
According to the FIL’s statement, the presence of Russian athletes, coaches, and officials at FIL tournaments poses a risk to the safety of the competition and participants, including from Russia.
The International Luge Federation deprived Russian luge athletes of the opportunity to compete in tournaments under the auspices of the FIL in March 2022 after the outbreak of war in Ukraine.
