First session of Turkish Parliament of 28th convocation opens

The first session of the Turkish Parliament of the 28th convocation has opened, the new parliament will be sworn in on June 2, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.
The first meeting of the country’s supreme legislative body was opened by the oldest of the deputies - the chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bahceli.
The deputies, in order of priority, will read from the rostrum the text of the oath, enshrined in the Constitution.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will also attend the first session of the Parliament and observe the oath-taking process from the box of honored guests.
After that, the process of electing a new speaker of parliament starts.
The swearing-in ceremony of President Erdogan is scheduled for June 3 in the parliament building.
