Fire kills woman, child in Buryatia

A woman and a child died in a fire in a private house in the Tunkinsky district of Russia’s Buryatia, the Republican Agency for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations said, Report informs.

A call about a house fire in the village of Galbay, Tunkinsky district, was received in the early hours of December 30. When firefighters arrived, the roof of the house and the attached veranda were on fire.

Before firefighters arrived, three people, including two children, had evacuated the building on their own.

As a result of the fire, the roof of the house and the veranda burned down on a total area of 45 square meters. The cause of the fire is being established.
