The explosives found at Chisinau International Airport among postal items were sent from Ukraine and were intended to reach Tbilisi, Report informs via the First in Moldova TV channel, citing data from the country's Border Police.

It is reported that on January 7, during the processing of postal items at Chisinau Airport, an object resembling a toy car was discovered, which was suspected to contain explosive components.

"The item was in a package sent from Ukraine and was supposed to be delivered to Tbilisi, Georgia. Baggage screening with special equipment revealed the threat," the TV channel reports, citing sources.

The package was stopped before being loaded onto the plane. Investigators are determining all circumstances of the incident.
