Russian Defense Ministry comments on explosions in Crimea

The Russian Defense Ministry has confirmed the explosion in the military unit in the Dzhankoi district of Crimea, Report informs via TASS.

The ministry noted that there was no significant loss in the incident, and at the moment, work is underway to extinguish the fire:

"The causes of the incident are being investigated."

Local residents are being evacuated from the Mayskoye village of Crimea's Dzhankoi district, Report informs via TASS.

According to information, some residents leave the village in their vehicles. Those who are unable to do so are evacuated by buses.

A second explosion was recorded today in the Dzhankoi district of Crimea, Report informs via RBC Ukraine.

There was also an explosion at a transformer substation in the area.

An explosion occurred in a Russian military unit in the Dzhankoi district of Crimea, said Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Assembly of Crimean Tatars, Report informs via UNIAN.

According to Chubarov, a fire started in the area after the explosion.

Thus, it was reported that the Russian Armed Forces ammunition depot got fire.
