EU faces serious test on security, Turkish president says

The European Union (EU) faces a serious test on security, the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, told journalists after the Cabinet of Ministers meeting, Report informs.
Erdogan stated that the member countries of the EU are watching the events related to Ukraine with concern: "Now Türkiye's balanced position, which it has maintained from the first day, is given more importance. It is not possible to achieve permanent peace without Russia or Ukraine."
The president also pointed out that Ankara wants to develop relations with the EU: "They should understand Türkiye's role and determine their strategies accordingly. I believe that relations between Türkiye and Europe will develop rapidly in all spheres."
