Erdogan: We count on investments of Persian Gulf countries in Turkish economy

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he expects to conclude investment deals during his tour of the Persian Gulf countries, which is scheduled for July 17-19, Report informs referring to TASS.

"We pin our hopes on this visit. Before that, I sent Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek to the region, who visited Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. We want to strengthen our relations with these states in a comprehensive manner. UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan called today and said that he is ready for serious investments in Türkiye. I hope that we will put an end to this issue during the visit," Erdogan noted.

Ankara expects that the direct investments of the Persian Gulf countries in the Turkish economy will exceed $10 billion.
