Erdoğan: US sanctions against Iran undermine global balance

Baku. 6 November. REPORT.AZ/ Ankara does not consider US sanctions against Iran the right step, since they undermine global balance.

Report informs citing the RIA Novosti that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made the due statement after speaking to the parliamentary faction of the ruling Justice and Development Party.

"We do not find the sanctions rightful. This is a step aimed at undermining the global balance. It is contrary to international law. We do not want to live in the imperialist world”, Erdoğan said.

He added that Turkey buys 10 billion cubic meters of gas from Iran.

Notably, additional US sanctions against Iran, which covered oil exports, entered into force on November 5.
