Erdogan urges supporters to guard ballot boxes until election results appear

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed his supporters.

According to Report, the text of his appeal was posted on the head of state's Twitter page.

"I would like to thank all and everyone who worked selflessly at the polling stations from early morning. I call on all my brothers and sisters to protect the ballot boxes until the results are tallied. It is time to protect the will of our people," the Turkish president said.

The second round of presidential elections was held in Türkiye today.
