Erdogan: UK ready to cooperate with Türkiye on building submarines

The UK is ready to cooperate with Türkiye on building submarines, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a rally on Victory Square in Afyonkarahisar, Report informs via Turkish media.

Erdogan noted that Türkiye had previously commissioned the world's first aircraft carrier designed to deploy attack drones.

"There are countries that are ready to order aircraft carriers and submarines from Türkiye. The UK is ready to cooperate with the Turkish side on building submarines," Erdogan said.

The Turkish leader also drew attention to the implementation of a megaproject to create a domestic unmanned underwater vehicle.

"Technologies are constantly developing and updating. It's like a sport - striving for new levels," the Turkish leader emphasized.
