Erdogan: Türkiye must create multi-layer air defense system

Türkiye must create a multi-layer air defense system, because the Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems alone are not enough to meet all needs, Erdogan told journalists aboard his return flight from the NATO summit in the Netherlands, Report informs via Anadolu.

"The air defense system is not limited to the S-400 alone. We must create a multi-layer system," Erdogan noted.

According to Erdogan, Türkiye has made significant progress in missile weapons, but this is not enough.

"We are building a unified system, Steel Dome. We are integrating systems of various ranges, sensors, and electronic warfare systems that we have developed domestically," the president noted.
