Erdogan: Türkiye does not need Europe's assistance or support

Decision on Türkiye's EU membership will be welcomed but Türkiye considers itself a self-sufficient country and does not need assistance or support of Europe, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
According to Report, he noted that Türkiye attaches special importance to EU's decisions. Erdogan reminded that Türkiye has been at the doorstep to the European community for already 50 years.
"We have always been a self-sufficient country. We have never needed and we do not need the assistance or support of the EU," the Turkish leader said.
