Erdogan thanks employers, trade unions for agreeing on new level of minimum wage

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his gratitude to the employers and representatives of the country's trade unions for agreeing on a new level of minimum wage in the country, Report informs via Anadolu Agency.

The Turkish leader highly valued the agreement on a new level of the minimum wage, which will come into force on July 1, 2023.

Erdogan noted that the agreement on this issue is an indicator of the presence of a high level of culture of dialogue in Türkiye.

Turkish Minister of Labor and Social Protection Vedat Isikhan announced earlier on Tuesday that the minimum wage in Türkiye in the second half of the year will be net 11,402 lira (about $480), and gross will be 13,414 lira.

The level of the minimum wage in Türkiye this year as a whole increased by 107%.
