Erdogan says West seriously concerned about Russia-China solidarity

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan believes that the West is seriously concerned about the development of relations between Russia and China, as well as the lack of the desired results in Ukraine.

He was speaking to journalists upon returning from the US from the NATO summit, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.

"We are faced with a world order dominated by the strong. For example, Russia is in solidarity with China, and this seriously worries the West. It provides all kinds of support to Ukraine, both financial and material, including weapons and ammunition. Despite all this help, the Western countries have not yet achieved the results they expected in Ukraine. The guarantee and reassurance for them is that NATO exists as a great force, with the US at the forefront. It is becoming stronger, but, despite its existing power, there is an inability to achieve the desired results in competition with other world powers,” Erdogan noted.

Meanwhile, he pointed out that “Türkiye's position in this context is different.”

“We maintain contact with both Russia and Ukraine. At the same time, we strive to be as fair as possible. This position of ours may from time to time worry both Russia and Ukraine. But we repeat that both of these countries are our neighbors with whom we have historical serious relationship," Erdogan added.
