Erdogan reveals amount used for construction of Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque

A total of 750,000,000 lira was spent on the construction of Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the opening of the mosque.

According to Report's correspondent dispatched to Türkiye, the Turkish leader thanked everyone who donated to the completion of the mosque construction.

"I think that with the help of our benefactors, not a single good deed will remain unfinished."

Speaking about the choice of a name for the temple, Erdogan noted that the warriors of Hayrettin Barbaros were trained in this territory and went to sea from here: "We decided that the name of Hayrettin Barbaros would be the most appropriate name for the mosque."

The mosque was built in Levent, an elite district of Istanbul. It is a huge temple, accommodating 20,000 believers at the same time.
