Erdogan may meet with Assad before Turkish presidential elections

Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan may meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad before the Turkish presidential elections, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said, Report informs referring to Turkish media.
Elections in Turkiye are scheduled for May this year.
Earlier, Erdogan himself announced a possible meeting with Assad at an expanded meeting of the ruling Justice and Development Party.
“First, our foreign ministers will meet, and then we, the leaders of the states, will gather,” Erdogan said.
