"We will always maintain our position. Like every step we take, we conduct all our foreign policy from this stance," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, Report informs.
"We have always acted and will continue to act with this approach in the crises in Syria, Iraq, Libya, the Eastern Mediterranean, Karabakh and Ukraine," the head of state said.
Erdogan also touched upon NATO's activities. He stressed that NATO is now trying to strengthen its eastern borders by various means.
"We are watching the steps taken after the crisis in Ukraine with a smile. Because Turkiye, as a NATO ally, has not faced such a situation for years. Our only wish from NATO for many years was the same approach to Turkiye's steps to defend its borders. We want to protect our borders from terrorists. However, almost none of our allies showed the desired attitude to this issue," he added.
