Erdoğan comments on Tramp's decision regarding Syria

Baku. 21 December. REPORT.AZ/ “Our latest phone call with US President Donald Tramp on Syrian issue revealed that we think the same on Syria," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said.

Report informs that he spoke at the event “Turkey's Top 500 Service Exporters Award” .

"Donald Tramp said in our phone call: "Can you remove  ISIS?" I said,"Yes we can. Provide us with necessary logistics support, and we will do the rest. The Turkish military and Free Syrian Army are able to neutralize all these terrorist groups. Finally,  we were able to hear promising and frank words by the US government. Based on our past bitter experiences, we decided to carry out anti-terror operation in the east of the Euphrates. However, we consider it expedient to wait a while for our talk and mutual contacts with Trump ," he said.

Notably, on December 19, US President Donald Tramp signed a decree to withdraw military personnel and hardware from Syria. The first TIR trucks with military equipment have already left for Iraq.
