Türkiye should be part of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, Report informs referring to TASS.
“China has made great progress in implementing this initiative, and it continues to move forward. But we are also working in this direction. The goal is to reach the Marmaray [Bosphorus tunnel]. Without Türkiye, this transport corridor cannot exist. Türkiye is an important production and trade base. The most convenient route from east to west should pass through Türkiye,” Erdogan said upon returning from India, where the G20 summit took place.
