Envoy: Türkiye, Ukraine can establish joint export of UAVs produced at plant in Kyiv

Türkiye and Ukraine can export UAVs to third countries, the drones will be produced at the plant of the Turkish aircraft manufacturing company Baykar near Kyiv, Ukrainian Ambassador to Ankara Vasyl Bodnar said, Report informs referring to Turkish media.

The diplomat reminded that Baykar executive director Haluk Bayraktar had previously announced the construction of a UAV production plant near the Ukrainian capital.

Bondar noted that Ukraine considers Baykar a strategic partner: “We not only purchase products from Baykar, but also intend to establish joint production. Defense products that will be produced at this plant will primarily go into service with Türkiye and Ukraine. In the future, the issue of exporting products to third countries may be considered.”

The construction of the Baykar plant with 500 jobs has already begun. The company will launch production of Bayraktar UAVs, the model - TB2 or TB3 - is still being determined.
