Russia's Novosibirsk region is working to eliminate the consequences of an oil spill on the banks of the Ob River, Report informs referring to Gazeta.ru.
“On September 12, at 11:30 (Moscow time), an eyewitness reported that on the shore in Kolyvansky district, the pollution of the coastline with oil products was spotted on an area of about 100 square meters on a partially shallowed channel of the Ob River,” reads the press release.
The source of the pollution was a barge that was supposed to be recycled.
