"There are various factors that affect the number and quality of schools. Some of these factors are related to objective, others have to do with subjective reasons," Education Minister Emin Amrullayev said in a comment on the annual reduction in the number of Azerbaijani-language schools in Georgia.
Report quotes the minister as saying various factors influence the closure of schools - parents' choice, migration, the state of educational institutions, the number of teachers:
“The number of schools in Georgia has decreased in recent years. This may be stemmed from optimization and rationalization. At the moment, the priority issue should be to attract students to quality education, regardless of ethnicity."
