Defense Minister of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov has apologized to Ankara for his comments comparing the number of people who died in the war in his country with the number of people who died in the devastating earthquake in Türkiye, Report informs.
"I sincerely apologize to anyone in Ukraine or Türkiye who was offended by my comments in an interview with the Spanish newspaper La Razon. Ukrainians sympathize with the Turkish people. We understand what it's like to bury thousands of innocent people - friends and neighbors. I am grateful to our Turkish friends for their unwavering support and firm stance on Crimea since the Russian invasion began," he tweeted.
