Daily COVID incidence exceeds 650 in Russia

Over the past day, medical experts recorded 20,616 new cases of coronavirus infection in Russia, Report informs referring to Russian media.

The total number of registered cases in the country since the pandemic onset has reached 5,493,557.

Currently, 374,975 Russians are undergoing treatment to beat the viral disease.

To date, a total of 134,545 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 652 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 4,984,037.

More than 182.2 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 3.94 million lives, though unable to cope with 166.7 million patients, who managed to recover.
