Council of EU decides to keep sanctions against Iran

The European Union refused to lift sanctions on Iran after October 18, as was originally intended to be done within the framework of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Report informs via TASS.
The Council of the European Union decided to take the necessary steps to maintain restrictive measures within the framework of the non-proliferation regime against Iran. In the Council's view, there are convincing reasons to refrain from lifting these restrictions on October 18, 2023, as originally envisaged in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the Council said.
