4,785 people were infected with coronavirus in Russia in a day, Report informs, citing the Operational Headquarters of the country.
Thus, the number of people infected with the COVID-19 has reached 36,793, of which 313 people have died, 3,057 people have recovered.
Most of the new cases were recorded in Moscow – 2,649.
Russia reported the first coronavirus case on January 31.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to 210 countries and territories since then.
To date, COVID-19 cases reached 2,258,725 globally, resulting in 575,837 recoveries and 154,381 deaths.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
