An employee of the bank and a collector from CJSC "Collection Service Armenia" committed about 160 thefts.

The case on the said two persons and their accomplices was submitted to the court with the indictment.

In particular, according to the materials of the case, other collectors and bank employees were involved in the criminal scheme. The theft was committed by three cash collectors, who from April to November 2021 stole banknotes from 1 to 20,000 drams (approximately from $2.5 to $50).

So, in the theft of 35.260 million drams (about $90,000), their accomplice was a senior employee of the bank's security service, and in the theft of another 26.2 million drams (about $67,000) - the chief accountant of the operations department of one of the branches of the bank.

Then the brother of the above-mentioned person acquired movable property and, with the help of his friend, exchanged it, thus “laundering” money.

On the basis of these facts, three collectors and a bank technical service specialist were charged with embezzlement of entrusted property, the specialist’s brother and his friend with money laundering, and the chief specialist of the customer service department with complicity in criminal acts. Recognizance on their own was chosen as a measure of restraint against them.
