CIS to develop action plan to combat infections

On June 1, the Coordinating Council on the Sanitary Protection of Territories of the CIS Member States held a videoconference dedicated to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Representatives of relevant agencies of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee and the WHO Regional Office for Europe joined the meeting according to the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being (Rospotrebnadzor).

The attendees mulled the steps to implement the decisions of the CIS Council of Heads of Government, and develop a plan of joint actions by the CIS member states to curb the spread of infectious diseases. Rospotrebnadzor will draft the document and send it to the partners.

The conference also reviewed the comprehensive anti-epidemic measures aimed at preventing the spread of the infection in the CIS countries.
