Canada to launch permanent residence program for Ukrainian refugees

Canadian authorities are launching a new immigration program for Ukrainian refugees. It will allow Ukrainian families in the country to obtain permanent resident status, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship of Canada Sean Fraser said, Report informs via UNIAN.

Sean Fraser explained that Canada will provide salvation to separated families through this reunification program and help them settle in the country's new communities.

Ukrainians living in Canada with temporary status and having one or more family members in this country will be eligible to participate in the program.

The launch of the program is scheduled for October 2023. The program will be free and will be valid for a year.
