Bodies of 25 soldiers returned to Ukraine

On September 20, Ukraine and Russia exchanged the bodies of fallen soldiers, according to the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration of Ukraine, Report informs referring to RBC-Ukraine.

“Another operation was carried out to transfer the bodies of soldiers. Ukraine got back the bodies of another 25 of its defenders. The process of returning the bodies is taking place in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Convention,” the report says.

The operation was carried out with the cooperation of Oleh Kotenko, commissioner for missing persons, and other law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.

One of the last body swaps took place on September 6. Then it was possible to return the bodies of 25 servicemen.
