Blasting works to commence on Kirants-Acharkut road amid border delimitation

The Road Department of Armenia has announced that blasting works will be carried out on the Kirants (Guney) - Acharkut road in the Tavush district on June 24, 2023, at 14:00.

According to Report, which cites Armenian media, the explosive activities are being conducted as part of the ongoing road construction efforts in the area.

The Acharkut route is set to become an alternative pathway for traveling to Kirants village, following the anticipated handover of the road bridge at the entrance of the settlement to Azerbaijan.

This development comes in the context of the border delimitation process between the two nations.
