Ukraine won’t receive M109 armored howitzers from the Belgian authorities. The Ministry of Defense of this country cannot buy out weapons, Report informs referring to UNIAN.
“It is very difficult to negotiate if the counterparty asks ten times more than the amount paid for it,” the message says.
The East Flemish technology company OIP, whose subsidiary is engaged in military equipment, did not allow Belgian specialists to check the condition of the M109.
At the same time, the Belgian Ministry of Defense stated that the howitzers were sold to another buyer, but OIP does not comment on this issue, so it is not known who bought them.
