Azerbaijani youth in Georgia join appeal addressed to Prime Minister

Baku. 12 November. REPORT.AZ/ 38 organizations represented by Georgian youth have submitted an appeal to Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze.

Report's local bureau informs that the NGOs urged to create the Advisory Council of Youth under the Georgian government.

The organizations stated their readiness to take an active part in the creation of the council.

"The processes that occured in Georgia show definite barriers in state-public communication. The Advisory Council comprising young people would play a mediator role between the government and youth. We do believe that involvement of youth into the activity of the government will produce positive results for both the country and young people residing in the country," the message states.

The authors of the appeal noted that if the Georgian Government supports the creation of the Advisory Council of Youth, it will be the third country in this area, since similar councils function under the governments of Canada and Great Britain.

The appeal addressed to the prime minister was also joined by the youth organizations represented by national minorities living in Georgia. The document was also signed by the Georgian Union of Azerbaijani Youth.
