Azerbaijani mayor takes office in Georgia

Mayor of Georgia's Marneuli town Kanan Omarov has taken office, Report informs with reference to the ruling Georgian Dream Party.
Forty-four candidates representing the Georgian Dream were elected mayors in the local elections on October 2, and they began to exercise their powers on October 27.
Kanan Omarov was elected mayor with 68.12% of the votes. In 2016, he started working as the head of the Marneuli Education Resource Center, and after January 29 this year, he worked as the deputy mayor.
