At least 6 prisoners executed in Iran

At least six prisoners have been sentenced to death by courts in Shiraz and Gorgan prisons in Iran, according to Iranian human rights defenders, Report, citing ir.voanews.

It was also reported that inmates in 21 Iranian prisons have been on a 34-day hunger strike under the slogan “Tuesday without execution,” demanding a halt to executions.

Iran is noted for having the highest number of executions globally.
