As jailed ex-Georgian leader's hunger strike continues, he loses over 12 kg–spouse

It has been the second week since Mikheil Saakashvili went on hunger strike and lost over 12 kilograms, Mikheil Saakashvili's wife Yelyzaveta Yasko, a member of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada, told the media in Tbilisi, Report’s Georgian bureau informs.

According to Yasko, who visited Saakashvili at Rustavi Prison No. 12, her husband is in a fighting spirit, but his health has been seriously damaged.

She added that the international community is watching the situation around her husband.
