Armenian who killed Azerbaijani in Russia extradited to Armenia

Arman Arakelyan, who was sentenced to 18 years in prison for killing an Azerbaijani in Russia, was extradited to Armenia on Saturday, his lawyer Artur Dashyan said.
Report informs, citing NEWS.am, that, according to Dashyan, 'a decision on extradition was made in 2018, but the coronavirus-related restrictions obstructed, then the war started and finally Arman was returned to the homeland, where he will continue to serve his sentence.'
Arman Arakelyan, who was sentenced to 18 years in prison for killing an Azerbaijani in Russia, was already serving six years in a Murmansk prison. The son and the relatives of the inmate protested outside the Armenian government building, demanding his extradition.
