Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is scheduled to visit Moscow on May 8 but will abstain from attending the Victory Day celebrations on May 9.
According to Report, referring to Armenian newspaper Hraparak, Prime Minister Pashinyan’s trip coincides with the 10th-anniversary jubilee summit of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), set for May 8.
Sources have not confirmed his attendance at the May 9 Victory Day events. Additional reports suggest a brief visit, with Pashinyan expected to return to Armenia the same evening. Observers note that given the current dynamics of Armenian-Russian relations, Pashinyan’s participation in Victory Day is improbable.
The newspaper also remarked on deliberate efforts by Pashinyan and his administration to tense the ties between Armenia and Russia.
