Armenian PM didn’t declare expensive watch

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in his annual income declaration submitted to the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, didn’t declare expensive watch, Report informs referring to Zhoghovurd newspaper.

Earlier the Commission revealed some violations in the declarations of Pashinyan, the deputy prime minister and some ministers. The latter sent their clarifications to the Commission, and now the structure is studying them.

The newspaper reminds that back in November 2022, the Commission turned to the National Security Service with a request to check the origin of the property of all state officials and find out if they are engaged in business, whether they own undeclared movable or immovable property.

Now, with the help of the National Security Service, inaccuracies and problematic points in the declarations have been revealed. One of these inaccuracies is the prime minister’s undeclared watch. The salary of the head of government is 1,580 drams (about $4,000 at the current exchange rate), he wears expensive jackets, his wife wears expensive jewelry, but the Corruption Prevention Commission indicated only undeclared watch.
