Armenian official’s son caught on major drug smuggling

The son of a major official in Armenia has been detained on suspicion of drug smuggling, Report informs referring to the Zhoghovurd newspaper.

At the entrance to Yerevan, law enforcement officers detained a car belonging to the son of a high-ranking official of one of the law enforcement agencies. There were 240 bags of drugs in the car.

The publication has not yet revealed the name of the official, but will do so in the near future. It is also noted that the case caused an unprecedented stir in law enforcement agencies.
