Armenian MP: Activity of Dashnaktsutyun Party should be banned

The activities of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation - Dashnaktsutyun Party should be banned, said MP Hakop Aslanyan from the ruling Civil Contract Party, Report informs, citing Hraparak.

According to him, Dashnaksutyun closed its local organizations in different regions of Armenia.

Aslanyan assessed it as honesty. He stressed that there is no legal basis for Dashnaktsutyun to operate in the country. According to the Law "On Parties", the activity of the organization is prohibited.

He said that the party should hold a congress to resume its activities, but the Dashnaks did not do it:

"Yes, Dashnaktsutyun should stop its activity because it is an anti-Armenian organization. I'm not the only one who says this, famous people are also of this opinion."

MP accused the Dashnaktsutyun Party of espionage and said he was conducting additional investigations and collecting materials in this regard.
