Armenian health ministry reports increase in number of drug addicts among women

Drug addiction in Armenia is growing rapidly, with women becoming addicted more and more often, country's Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan said.

Report informs via Sputnik-Armenia that Nanushyan was answering the questions of the deputies during the discussion of the bill on the circulation of technical hemp.

She noted that statistics are based on data received by the Ministry of Health from drug dispensaries. Basically, the use of synthetic drugs, which are distributed, including through social networks and messengers, is increasing.

Nanushyan reported that during the recent session presided by the Prime Minister, it was decided to pay more attention to the retraining of medics and narcologists. Explanatory work is also conducted with high school students in lyceums.
